Do you know the Abbey of Our Lady of Blanche-Couronne? Located in La Chapelle-Launay, this Benedictine abbey founded in the 12th century was classified as a Loire-Atlantique heritage site at the beginning of 2020. Currently being restored, this masterpiece of local religious architecture will also be examined to define a future improvement project.
Founded in the 12th century, the Abbey of Blanche-Couronne boasts both medieval and classical architecture, of which a cloister, medieval wall paintings (a 13th-century funerary niche) and a monumental staircase remain.
